Your data, explained plainly.
We collect as little as possible, store nothing we don't need, and never sell your data. This page explains exactly what happens when you visit cybernauten.com.
## Who operates this site
Cybernauten is operated by Projektsued GmbH, registered in Germany. For contact details, see our Impressum.
## Analytics
We use Umami, a privacy-focused, self-hosted analytics tool. Umami does not use cookies, does not track you across sites, and does not collect personal data. All data is aggregated — we see page view counts and referrers, not individual visitors.
The analytics instance runs on our own infrastructure at analytics.projektsued.de.
No data is shared with third parties.
## Newsletter subscription
When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address. This is processed by our self-hosted Listmonk instance — no third-party email services like Mailchimp or Resend are involved.
Your email is stored on our own servers in Germany. We use it exclusively to send you our newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email, and your data will be deleted.
## Review requests
When you submit a review request via the "Request a Review" form, we store your email address and request text in our Listmonk instance. This data is used solely to notify you when the requested content is published.
## Cookies
Cybernauten uses a single localStorage entry to remember your
dark/light mode preference. We do not set any cookies. No tracking cookies,
no session cookies, no third-party cookies.
## Third-party services
The site is hosted on a Hetzner server in Germany. We use Google Favicon API to display tool logos (this sends the tool's domain name to Google, not your personal data). No other third-party services are involved in serving this site.
## Your rights (GDPR)
Under the General Data Protection Regulation, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction or deletion of your data
- Withdraw consent for data processing at any time
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
To exercise any of these rights, contact us.
## Changes
We may update this policy as our tools and practices evolve. Material changes will be noted here with an updated date.
